Problems Facing My Community And solutions

Problems facing my community and solutions

Poano is a medium size community with most populace being farmers.

I am writing on the problems affecting the people in this community and the suggestions to remedy the situation at hand.

Here are some of the problems and their solutions.

First of all, my community in question (Poano) does not have electricity. Electricity is needed for so many things, without it students cannot learn in the evening. Aside that, criminal activities is on the rise since there's no electricity in Poano and these criminal activities goes on in the evenings and night because there is darkness everywhere.

I am pleading with the government to come to our aid and help us with electricity to foster development and curb criminal activities.

Secondly, we do not have Junior High School (JHS) in my community. It will sadden your heart that a big community like Poano does not have JHS. So after primary education, pupils have to walk like 10 miles to start JHS education which is very terrible. Due to this, many pupil drop out of school because by the time they walk from here to the next community, they are already exhausted.

We are in the 21st century so the authorities should do something about it and provide us with JHS education.

Again, portable water is really a problem for us. Water is needed for drinking, washing, cooking and so on. When I say water I mean portable drinking water. The water we use to even wash our clothes end up spoiling it because the water itself is dirty. There are also frequent cholera outbreak here and there because the water is dirty and not good for our health.

Those in high authorities should come to our aid and provide is with good boreholes so that we can also drink and is quality water because water they say is life.

To drop the curtains down, let me also make this shocking revelation that there is not basic healthcare system in Poano. When someone falls sick here, you only have two options, either you take him to Bekwai or Kumasi. This is very serious because if there's a clinic around, the person would be given first aid to sustain him. What even saddens my heart is the women who are due for labour, they really go through pains before they deliver because since there is no clinic here, you have to go somewhere else to deliver which sometimes some of them even lose their lives.

Good healthcare is a basic need of the individual so the government should do his best and provide us with a hospital and a quality healthcare.

To sum it all up, all I will say is that, those in high authorities should help us with the aforementioned cankers which is causing more harm than good Poano community.

Thank you.
